Week Ending

So here we are at the end of our week. Busy as usual...the CCC group I belong to is having their dye camp weekend today and tomorrow. This has been an annual event for the past few years. I opted out this year just because! The last few years has been tough loading up the car; unpacking the car; getting set up; finally dyeing fabric!; then turning around the next afternoon and packing back up again. It's become more of a dread then a pleasure and with my old bones and body feeling as it is, I just didn't want to go through that this year. I can always go downstairs and dye fabric on a whim. Besides, I have SO much hand dyed fabric and commercial fabric that I want to use up. Then I can start dyeing fabrics in the colorways I want. Oh, I'll still dye fabric when I need a particular color but I really do have SO much fabric that it seems a waste of $$'s to just go and dye fabric for the sake of dyeing fabric. I think this year will be the best weather the CCC group has had! It's going to be perfect today with temps in the mid to high 60's. No rain or heat for a change! We've had some real scorchers for sure!

Today I'm going to finish up my Art Diary piece and my journal piece. Then I'll start on my Art of Nature piece that's due in July. I'm thinking of using one of Dawn's pictures of wolves she took on a photography trip to a wolf preserve in Indiana. That's one thought right now.

Check out this blog for Free Antique Images! The images are so cool!!! I love anything "antiquey" (is that a word!) so these are perfect for me. I can see using them in my art journals that aren't for sale. This is the image on the site today.
