Yep..it's that time again. Our grandson, Nick, is graduating this year so grandma needs to get busy on his T-shirt quilt! This will be my last one for grand kids! They'll have all graduated from high school...thank goodness and I'm not making any for when they graduate from college! Enough for me.
Between football, Lacrosse and different events Nick has been in or attended, I think he'll have a good mix of T's. Now to determine the layout...I'm thinking of something similar to attic window just to be different for a t shirt quilt.
And I get to go fabric shopping for the border and backing!
It is going to be a treasured keepsake! I am in the mist of making a t-shirt quilt for a relative of a friend I work with. I really like making t-shirt quilts and this will be around number 32. I have to do some improv piecing on this one since I received the t-shirts already cut up - ugh! I will make it work. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so anxious to see your progress...I've been wanting to make them for my 2 kids (way, way overdue)but I've got the thought in my head...never made one before although I'm sure I can figure it out...anxious to see how you do yours...I know the kids love them and a wonderful keepsake
ReplyDeleteThat's so nice that you make t-shirt quilts for the kids. I've never made one, even though I've saved t-shirts.
ReplyDeleteYour work is cut out for you! But what a great memory quilt this will be.
ReplyDeleteYou are so brave to tackle this!!!
