Catch up time!

First, I want to show another birthday gift I received!  This is from Sally and she picked out the perfect gift for me and the color is so me too!!  Thanks, Sally!  You know I wear a lot of black, beige and brown!  HA

Tuesday wasn't too busy.  I headed off to JoAnn's (had to spend my gift card from Janice!!  Thanks again, Jan!!!  I needed batting and of course had to wander the aisles for other bargains, which I found!   On the way home, I stopped at the grocery store then placed an order for subways to take over to  Karah!  Of course I had to stop at the house and pick up the girls to take with me.  We had a nice lunch and visit and will be doing this again this winter!

Wednesday was the day for me to get my sewing area set up.  I have a project I'm starting (more on that tomorrow along with my screen prints) that is due January 31st!  So I had best get busy!  right!

And for those who know me or follow me...Wednesday is 99 cent margarita night!  So off we went meeting up with Sally & Dan, Karah and Howard and Maria and Kevin!  We had a good dinner, great margaritas and of course good conversation!!!  Just a nice evening.

Today (Thursday) will be a sewing day for me or at least get the feel of my machine.  I haven't used the 440 in over 3 years!!!  I love my trusty 1090 and it is perfect for me to free motion quilt with.  I need to force myself to get used to this machine.  I don't care for the stitch regulator on the 440 but you don't have to use it.

Tonight we're off for  a BD dinner for Harvey (my Q bud Susan's hubby) along with the rest of the Thursday night gang.  We're going to Bone Fish then back to their house for cake.  It's always a fun night with the 'gang' and I love the Bang Bang shrimp taco's at BoneFish!!

Friday I'm off to meet with my bud, Marcia, who I haven't seen since last May.  Looking forward to catching up with her and having a little girl time too!  Hope to post again on Saturday with more catch-up times.

Winding down time!

Yep...we're winding down our wonderful time here in Florida!  Tonight we had another fun evening with Karah and Howard at our Wednesday hangout!

YUM...and we even have leftovers...just what I need...more food in the freezer...we're eating out again tomorrow and Monday...that's all I know about so far!  Bob just comes home and tells me when or where we're eating!  Fine with me!






Today I finished up the last fiber card I needed to make for mailing before we head home on the 2nd.
This is the card I made for Mac's BD last week.  We had a fun evening celebrating his 83rd BD!  The group picture in the middle is from Jan and Mac's trip to Australia.  They just got back about a week ago after a 3 week visit with their grand babies.   I thought Mac would enjoy seeing the picture!

And this is the back of his card, which shows his BD cake from last year's celebration!

And these are more fiber cards I made today.  I need to mail out two of them within the week and the others will be mailed in May after I finish edging them!

I wanted to make bright happy BD cards so I think these will do!

  Now my machine can be put to rest for a month!  The first week we get home is way too busy, so no sewing for me, although I do have a project due the end of May for the online group!  Yikes!   I also have a major project which entails quite a bit of  'writing' and documenting, so that will consume my time until we leave and then after we get home.  I have a target date of June 5th.  I'll talk more about this project later in June.

  Hard to believe we'll be leaving in 2 1/2 weeks!!  Fortunately, we have the packing 'thing' down pat...or should I say "I" have the packing 'thing' down!

Countdown is on!!!

Yep...it's that time for sure....packing, eating out, cleaning, eating out....yada, yada....we'll be leaving a week from today!  Hard to believe...one hand I feel like we just got here and on the other hand...it's hard to leave... but I will be glad to get back and see the kids!  And get back to my dye/paint room to "fling some paint" ,this is a common saying from Lynn K!.   I have her new book and I'm so anxious to play!!!

So when I have a few minutes I do work on my leaf!!

 Just in case you forgot what it looked like before I started adding my beads.....see I am making progress and I just might be finished by fall!

Wednesday was our last night for 99 cent margarita night!  Boohoo!!!  We had a fun night with our buds and didn't even bring home leftovers!   Sure will miss this place!

And beside dinner out, occasionally I've eaten lunch out as well...no surprise there, right!  Well, the Zippers met for lunch yesterday to talk about our zipping and what trouble we can get into next year!

Marcia, myself, Nako and Eunice had a great lunch at the Blue Highway...but this time we ate at the restaurant downtown...you're severed on glass dishes rather than plastic plates and cups.  My wine was even in a glass!  Woo hoo!!!  We could get spoiled!  Anyway, Nako and Eunice are interested in jumping from a plane!!!  Marcia and I will take them to the airport and watch the whole process and record the 'event' for them!  Jumping out of a plane is something I will not do!!!  Anyway, that's the plan right now....I have enjoyed my time with these ladies and really looking forward to next year and seeing the trouble we can get into!!!    Like I need encouragement!
