I've been working on dismantling the sewing 'room' these past few days and have everything ready to load in the car...for the most part. 99% of my supplies are packed up and ready to put in the car but I'll still have to put away the 6 foot table, dust and make sure all of the Miller's 'artifacts' are put back in their place!
I've also put the hexes back together on the hex board that Kalee bumped so the rows were now in order once again. Yesterday, I placed each row on its pin and the rows are now ready to be sewn!
This will be a good project to work on for the drive home...after all, we're on the road for 2 1/2 days! I can sew or read or just look at the surroundings!
We'll be home in two weeks! Seems like we just got here but on the other hand, I feel like I haven't seen the kids in ages!!!
We'll certainly miss our social life....

Only one food picture!
Thursday we had another good dinner at Blanca's here in the community...I have to admit it is one of my favorite places to eat and they make a good margarita! So what else is new! Well, Susan, who usually wears some great socks met her match last night! Jan arrived to dinner with socks matching her blouse!
Doesn't she have the best smile!!! And her socks did match her blouse! How cute is that!
We only have two more Thursday's with the 'gang' and we will miss them all this summer! As will we miss our other friends here in Ocala Palms! We are so fortunate to have such great folks to hang with!! We've made some great memories, shared great food and had more laughs together than some folks have in a lifetime........
Because I have to show a food pic...this was some of our dinner tonight (yes, I do cook!)....we've had corn 3 times already and each one was as good as the last!!! So sweet....reminds me of summer in Michigan!
And 'Grace' is back in her spot in Larry's rose garden!!! Doesn't she look nice! I think she needs a black and white zentangle collar on! Just thought of that! I think I might do that before I leave!!! She just needs to be dressed up!!! But I'll check with Jan and Larry first!
Saturday, Susan and I are headed to the Grand Opening of the Ocala Antique Mall across the way from us. It's probably one of the nicest indoor antique malls around. Very organized, good lighting and lots of cool 'stuff'! Afterwards, we're headed to lunch, then Bob and I are going out to dinner Saturday night!
Monday it's dinner out and then again on Wednesday! And yes, I've started back on my 7 minute exercise routine along with planking! Speaking of which, there is a great 7 Minute app that has an alarm to remind me to exercise, keeps track of my exercising and even has other exercises you can do. I should have know "they have an app for that"! Jan was the one who put me on to this one. I've always used a picture of the exercises (and my kitchen timer!) but the app is great!!! Have to keep in shape you know....OK, I only have to do all this add'l exercise because of all the eating out! I admit it!

The path to h__ or what was I thinking!
This was the view on our walk the other night. Kalee doesn't look up (too busy sniffing) but I love seeing the sky at sunset!
And lights from Christmas decorations is so funny to see in Florida! But very pretty!
Geezzz, what was I thinking...my intentions yesterday was to start working on my structure piece BUT I forgot that I needed to stitch down the seams before I even attempt to do any hand stitching. AND my sewing machine was in for service.
The good news is the Bernina tech called me late yesterday and my machine is fixed. Well, at least we think it is fixed! The power cord attachment felt loose and the tech said he 'tweaked' the unit and couldn't get my 'problem' recreated! Woohoo!!! So we're hoping that was the problem! And no charge! I do feel bad about that as I know he spent a few hours playing with it, as he called me twice to keep me updated on what all he was doing. I'll have to stop and get some treat to take as a thank you. I'll pick it up on Monday...just didn't want to go anywhere yesterday!
Our weather has been quite warm...in the high 70's and low 80's..I finally put the air on, even with the constant breeze we have just wasn't enough!
We are going to be back to 'normal' temps this week, which is in the high 60's or mid 70's. That's my kind of weather. I really like have the windows open and the breeze blowing through the house.
As for me...I think the last few weeks have caught up with me. I'm pooped! Yes, I'm admitting it! Don't want to but....sometimes we just have to admit it. I did laundry, etc. yesterday but ended up knitting and watching some Netflix on TV. Kalee and I had our walk this a.m. and now I'm headed to the shower then to do some more knitting or start designing my Valentine fiber cards! My car is probably feeling neglected by just sitting for 2 days!

We're here!
Yep, we made it here on Monday, early afternoon...finished unpacking, grocery shopping, etc. by 7 at night. It actually is easier and easier each year...guess we are just good at this 'snow bird' stuff after 11 years!!
Of course, it was out to dinner on Tuesday with some of the 'gang'! We ate at the club house, Blanca's, which I really enjoy. Of course, Wednesday, we went with Howard and Karah to our favorite Mexican Restaurant and yes, we had our 99 cent margarita's! YUM!!!! Dinner, drinks and conversation was great!
Today, was another outing at the annual New Year's Day get-together at Marilyn and John's! They are such a great couple and Marilyn is a great cook! John is one of the happiest guys around...just a hoot! I adore these two!
This is my Quilting bud, Susan and and her hubby, Harvey. I have blogged about Susan and her prize winning quilts. Workmanship is outstanding as are her designs. Love her work and her friendship.
And these are our wonderful landlord(s) Jan and Larry. Just the most fun and best couple around. They laugh continually! And if you're around them you will laugh along with them!
Well, who are these two!!!
I'm having trouble setting pics in this post...anyway, this is Jan and Mac! Jan is a fellow knitter and they are also Michiganders!! She's been busy knitting baby blankets for grand babies! I'm looking forward to having a girls day out with Jan and some of the other ladies. Mac is another one of those dry sense of humor types...yes, this group laughs a lot!
There were 20 of us getting to eat tons of food and enjoy each others company. Marilyn's food theme was 'comfort food' and that we certainly had!! Ham, meat balls, Ruben sandwiches, scalloped potatoes, corn casserole, jello salads, mac and cheese! And much, much more!!!! Tons of food as I said and I didn't even list the desserts!!! Yes, Kalee and I took a mile walk when we got home...well, after her golf cart ride!
So, tomorrow, my bud Carol and I are taking off to do some shopping. I'm always forgetting something at the store plus I need to get some treats for Kalee and Grace along with other errands. I'm sure we'll stop for a nice lunch somewhere too! Just a girls day out!
Weather is beautiful!! Well, my kind of weather...in the 60s so Kalee and I had two 1 mile walks today. Yea, that's our winter...eating, drinking, walking, shopping...enjoying the good life we worked so hard for 35+ years! Oh, I forget golfing too!! Well, for one of us anyway! I am very lucky!!

I didn't get to take pics of the other couples...sorry! I was too busy eating or helping clean up...I also wanted to get a picture of all the men folk sitting around the TV after dinner...by the time I thought of it they were gone! Only a few of them were left lounging!
