So very little hand work. Even the computer after a while makes them hurt. Read an interesting thing about gluten and arthritis - gluten may inflame the joints. So I'm going to try to eat less flour things and see if it helps.Angie in SoCalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01689281551068732574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2719325209119927620.post-23350837916905463492016-04-11T13:52:20.327-04:002016-04-11T13:52:20.327-04:00This is so not good for you and your beautiful han...This is so not good for you and your beautiful hand sewing. I also have pain in my left wrist. For insurance purposes, I'll be having some testing done in the fall because it may be causing nerve damage. My fingers have nodules and are starting to twist. It is not fair that we work so hard all our life and now when we should be able to enjoy out "hobbies" our bodies are limiting our mobility. It flaired up last spring and my brace had worn so much that the metal parts were poking through. No one around here sells them any more. I was able to find the brace on line so I ordered two. I wear it to sleep for sure because that is when I seem to be able to contort it into some strange pretzels! I also find that during a flair up, stitching at the table is easier to do pain free than in my lap. I’ve know many people who suffer from arthritis but it wasn’t till I experienced it that I realized just how painful and dibilatating it can be. My Osterporsis doc. suggests Tylenol to get the swelling down….as that generally is what causes the pain. I feel for you…..at least my bum knee doesn’t affect my sewing! The Inside Storihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00984299652568523595noreply@blogger.com
